Check-in with Gustavo was fantastic, and he made sure our friends had an area directly next to ours. Our flight home was so we just left the hotel at 5:00pm, Gustavo made sure we must keep our room and made the procedure very straightforward. Most hotels allow you to move back and forth many times over the previous day to work it out but maybe not him.
Our room was ocean view and very tidy, first time at a hotel I enjoyed the beds normally trigger at other hotels the beds aren’t comfortable. The fridge was stocked daily, and if you ask more water, it wasn’t an issue. We wanted to hire a driver for the day in cozumel and a guy there showed us how! Thank you!
The food in the buffet in the morning was excellent if a person can not find something it is cause they’re picky eaters. We had lunch in the beach restaurant trigger we appreciated it, we just had dinner in the buffet after and it was fine. The a la carte restaurants, I loved the way you can reserve it at the buffet area, and we didn’t have to stand in line to book. Just request the Capitan at the buffet area.
Café Paraiso was our favorite, fantastic service. La Iguana Grill we have excellent service, and the food was okay I obtained the mix plate and didn’t like it, but another 3 in our group loved what they ordered. Italian we enjoyed and 2 other couples told us that they didn’t enjoy it at all, but this may also occur at home in a restaurant.
From the pool and beach, you can always find a seat. Wifi was free at the reception, and we had no issues linking. The seaweed wasn’t fine, but the team worked really tough to get it first thing in the afternoon.
The seaweed was fairly bad anywhere for the past couple of decades. I can not say enough about the team and I’d for sure return to the Melia Cozumel.
Melia was wonderful. The only thing required more assortment of meals. A quiet hotel. Highly recommend, and should we return to Cozumel, we will surely stay here again.
